Back-to-School Means Getting Back into a Routine

I don't know about your house, but ours always seems to hit the reset button when school starts.

Summer is full of late nights, vacations, and eating whenever someone gets hungry. Then, before you know it, the alarm is going off, backpacks are by the door, and everyone's asking what's for lunch.

Every year I tell myself I'm going to be more organized. Every year I realize the same thing: keeping a few easy staples on hand makes life a whole lot easier.

For our family, Harvest Creek pouches have become one of those staples.

One Less Thing to Think About

Mornings are busy enough without having to overthink lunch.

I'll usually grab a Harvest Creek pouch, add some crackers, fruit, and whatever veggies we have in the fridge, and call it good. It comes together in just a few minutes, and I know everyone's heading out the door with a satisfying lunch packed.

Sometimes, simple really is better.

The Afternoon Rush

Once school is out, it feels like the day somehow gets even busier.

There's homework to finish, practices to get to, errands to run, and dinner to make. Not everyone is hungry at the same time, either.

Having a few Harvest Creek pouches in the pantry has saved us more than once. They're perfect for a quick snack before practice or to hold everyone over until dinner without a lot of prep.

They're Not Just for Lunchboxes

The kids aren't the only ones reaching for them.

I'll pack one with a salad for lunch at work or grab one in the afternoon when I realize I've been sitting at my desk for hours and forgot to eat. They're also easy to throw in a bag for road trips, tournaments, or weekends away.

They're just one of those things I'm always glad we have on hand.

Getting Ready for the School Year

Back-to-school shopping usually means notebooks, folders, and new shoes. I always add a few pantry essentials to the list, too.

When the calendar starts filling up again, it's nice knowing lunches, after-school snacks, and busy afternoons are already one step ahead.

Here's to a great school year—and to making busy days just a little easier.
